Save more than 30% when you
purchase the full year for $120!
Or try it out for just $14.99 per month
Monthly payments can be canceled any time. The Math Companion program is a yearlong program. After 12 months of the monthly membership, you will receive permanent access to the course.
What’s Included in a Math Companion?
1. Weekly Activity Plans: (value $100)
Week-by-week plans with 2 or 3 simple games and/or conversation starters to do with your child that week.
Designed specifically for your child’s math level.
You can slow down or speed up at the pace that’s right for your child.
More than 80 activities throughout the year.
Accessible via both a computer program and a mobile app, making it as easy to use as a social media app (without all the extra stuff you’re not interested in).
2. The Parent Course: (value $350)
Simple, parent-friendly explanations of all the math your child is learning in school this year.
Short video explanations so you can quickly see what the concept looks and sounds like.
Self-paced: pause and revisit as it fits your schedule.
I provide a suggested pace that takes 15 minutes or less per week.
Also accessible through both a computer-program and a mobile app, putting the information you need right at your fingertips.
3. Supplemental “How-to” Emails: (value $120)
Weekly follow-up emails loaded with the tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years to make math enjoyable and successful at home.
4. A program that continues to grow with your child: (priceless!)
Math Companions are available for toddler through 1st grade. Research shows that these early years are critical for setting a a child’s future math trajectory. A mini Math Companion is available for 2nd grade that includes a Parent Course as described above and a condensed number of activities and math moments (instead of the weekly emails and activity plans, 2nd grade includes 20 activities and 20 math moments you can do at any time throughout the school year).
One Year Value: $570 (That’s $47.50 of value every month.)
You Pay: $120 once (or $14.99 per month)
This is the one time I’m ok with math that doesn’t add up! There’s nothing I’d love more than to sit down with you and your child and walk you through each topic, step-by-step. Because we’re doing this virtually–at the time and pace that works best for you–I’m able to drastically lower the price and make it more affordable to families.

You don't need to see yourself as a math person (yet) to raise a child who thrives in math.
Hi! I’m Neily, and I wrote Math Companions specifically with parents in mind. This is math written for a parent by a parent (who's also worked in math education for 15 years). Every setup takes 5 minutes or less and includes materials you can find in your house right now.
FAQs

No. Math Companions are a supplemental math program, designed to connect the math learned in math class to our children’s real lives at home. They are perfect for families who want to add in more math talk at home.
Each Weekly Activity Plan includes 2 or 3 activities and conversations.
-
You have two payment options: a one-time payment of $120 for the full program or a monthly membership in which you receive new content each month. The content is identical.
The full-year option is non-refundable because the digital content you receive immediately upon purchase cannot be returned. If you’d like to test out the program before committing to the full year, start with the monthly membership. If, after trying out the program, you decide you’re ready to commit to the full year, email help@countingwithkids.com for help rolling your purchase over to the full-year program. If instead you decide the program is not the right fit for your family, you can also email help@countingwithkids.com to cancel future monthly payments.

Math Companions are organized by US grade levels. Here are the approximate age levels for each:
Toddler: ages 2 to 3.5
Preschool: ages 3.5 to 5
Kindergarten: ages 5 to 6
1st Grade: ages 6 to 7 (or age 8 for review)

You have two purchase options: a one-time payment of $120 or the monthly membership. The one-time, $120 payment is non-refundable because digital content cannot be returned.
If you join the monthly membership, you can cancel any time and will not be charged for any additional months. Because the program is digital and you can’t return digital resources, previously purchased months are nonrefundable. Email help@countingwithkids.com from the email address attached to your account and a cancellation will be processed before your next payment.

I have organized the content so that there are 15 minutes or less of learning time for parents each week. The weekly activity plans include 2 to 3 activities and conversation starters per week. You can pick and choose what to do in the weekly plans, doing as much or as little as you want each week.
-
Each Math Companion includes 40 weekly activity plans, and covers a full year of grade level content. 40 weekly plans accounts for weeks you’ll take off for vacation and holidays as well as providing some space to slow down when you want to stick with a concept for an additional week.
-
If purchasing the full year program, you have access to all the content immediately upon purchase.
If purchasing the monthly membership, you’ll have immediate access to 2 months of weekly plans. New sets of weekly plans become available each month you continue in the program until all 40 weeks of plans have become available.
-
If you purchase the $99 full year option, you have permanent access to the program.
If you purchase the monthly membership, you must complete the 12 monthly payments to retain permanent access to the program. After 12 months of membership, the recurring monthly payment automatically stops and you retain permanent access to the content in that grade level. If you cancel before 12 months, you will lose access to the content.
-
If the cost is not something you’re able to pay at this time, you can apply for a Math Companion Membership Grant. Funds for grants are limited, but we make every effort to find funds for each family that qualifies for a grant. Apply at this link.

The 2nd grade program (and any future grades beyond 2nd) have fewer activities than the full Math Companions offered for toddlers through 1st graders. Oftentimes, by 2nd grade, families have more extracurricular commitments and the shorter version, the Mini Math Companion, is created to accommodate these schedules. The Mini Math Companion in 2nd grade does not include the weekly emails or weekly activity plans, and instead has 20 activities and 20 math moments that can be used at any point throughout the school year as it fits with a family’s schedule.
